Buying a baseball glove sounds simple until you’re standing in front of a wall of them, squeezing leather and trying to remember which hand your kid throws with. Why are there so many sizes? Is the biggest one the best one? And how is your child supposed to catch a ball if they can barely close the glove?

1. Which hand does your child throw with?
Glove labels can be confusing, so start here:
Throws with the right hand? The glove goes on the left hand.
Throws with the left hand? The glove goes on the right hand.
