Team Moms Baseball: The Screening

If you know me, you know baseball has always been about more than what happens on the field. It’s the early drives, the last-minute laundry, the nerves in the stands, and the people who make a long season feel a little less lonely. That’s why Team Moms Baseball feels so close to home.

I had the chance to attend the official screening at the Shangri-La in Toronto, and it was such a special night. Getting dressed up for a baseball event was a fun change from my usual ballpark outfit! I loved being there to celebrate a show that puts baseball moms in the spotlight.

And I love this show. The moms bring their own personalities and emotions to the baseball experience. One minute I’m laughing, the next I’m completely invested—and sometimes I recognize a little piece of my own baseball life on screen.

Of course, I’ve picked my teams: #TeamBaldri and #TeamRylee! I’m cheering them on and I want to know what happens next. If you’re watching too, tell me whose team you’re on. Discussing it is half the fun!

I left the screening feeling grateful to see baseball motherhood getting its moment. Our kids may be the ones on the field, but the stories in the stands matter too. That’s a big part of why I created Canada’s Baseball Mom, and why this night meant so much to me.

Here’s to Team Moms Baseball, an unforgettable evening in Toronto, and every mom who has ever held her breath during an at-bat and celebrated a win like she was out there playing herself. I’ll be watching—and proudly cheering for #TeamBaldri and #TeamRylee.
